Music Video Monday! Toto: "Africa"

Ah, Africa. What a beautiful, mysterious place. Toto must have thought so, as they have quite a catchy tune about it. Check out the video below. Toto  keyboardist David Paich portrays some dude in a library, searching for a book that matches a piece of a torn out page that he's got. Sitting near him is a beautiful librarian (?) who must seriously have the hots for Paich, because she keeps slipping her glasses down to hungrily scope him out. Either that, or she needs a new prescription.

Paich sings about how "It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you/There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do." He must not have been singing about the librarian, because it looks like an African tribesman shows up, throws a spear into the library (which sets everything on fire, including Paich's mystery book), and presumably makes off with said librarian. She even loses her crappy glasses, which we see left on the floor of the burning library. Paich then just continues to groove with the rest of Toto in the library stacks and on top of a giant set of books. Maybe they'll look for her after the jam session? Oh well - enjoy.
